IMPORTANT INFORMATION❗❗
Currently, you can only add rules and conditions to Display Dynamic Slider Ads, this feature is not yet usable for Standard Display Dynamic Ads.
Rules and Conditions can be used for the following advertising networks:
Display: Google Ads, Google Studio & Criteo.
Social: Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat.
Creating conditions helps you get more relevant ads with just one feed, giving you the ability to optimize ad layouts making sure you get the most out of every line item of your feed. Conditions are composed by a group of rules, and rules are based on the line item attributes of your feed: image_URL, price, sales_price, title, description… An example of a condition could be:
“If ${price} equals ${value} AND ${sale_price} equals ${value}”.
While serving the ad, a different version of the default ad is displayed for each created condition. This way, you are able to create more relevant ads with just one feed. It will make sure that the ad will 100% be able to get the most out of every single line item in the associated feed.
Before creating any condition, it is very important to generate all ad sizes you need. Once you set up a condition, it is not possible to add extra sizes. Find below some important information about dynamic rules and conditions:
It is possible to add up to 10 conditions to a set.
A condition can consist of up to 10 rules.
A condition can’t have the same rule added twice.
Some examples of commonly used conditions are:
If "sale_price" "exists"
If "discount" ">20%"
Follow the steps below to start creating your first dynamic condition:
In the toolbar, click on "Default" and click on "Manage conditions".
Click on "Add condition".
Click now on "Yes, I'm done" if you are really sure your default design is ready.
Give a name to your condition. We recommend adding a name that refers to the condition you are about to create. For example "Sale price" or "Last 10 in stock" so you can easily recognize what ad layouts you are working on or previewing.
Select an attribute from your feed. The attributes that you see in the dropdown menu refer to the attributes mapped earlier when you uploaded your feed in Bannerwise.
We will choose "sale_price" because we want to create a specific ad layout for products that are on sale.
Select the operation you want.
We will choose "is less than" because we want to create a specific ad layout for products whose "sale_price" "is less than" the normal price.
Enter now a value. Depending on the operation you selected, you need to enter a value: number, word(s), letter(s)... or a specific attribute from the feed.
As mentioned above, we choose the feed attribute "Price" because we want to create a specific ad layout for products whose "sale_price" "is less than" the normal price.
Click on the “+” icon to select “AND” or “OR” if you want to add another rule to your condition and generate specific ad layouts.
Check how many line items will be affected by the condition. When you are ready to set up your rules and conditions, click on "Add condition".
After saving, your condition is added to an overview. From here you can perform different actions to your condition:
Add new conditions.
Edit existing condition.
Duplicate existing condition.
Delete existing condition.
That's it! This is how you can set up rules and conditions to your dynamic display ads. If you want to add multiple conditions, simply follow this article from the beginning once again.
