Creating conditions helps you get more relevant ads with just one feed, giving you the ability to optimize ad layouts making sure you get the most out of every line item of your feed. Conditions are composed of a group of rules, and rules are based on the line item attributes of your feed: image_URL, price, sales_price, title, description… An example of a condition could be:
“If ${price} equals ${value} AND ${sale_price} equals ${value}”.
While serving the ad, a different version of the default ad is displayed for each created condition. This way, you are able to create more relevant ads. It will make sure that the ad will 100% be able to get the most out of every single line item in the associated feed. Follow the steps below to set up your conditions:
💡 Good to know:
You can add a maximum of 10 conditions.
A condition can consist of a maximum of 10 rules.
To create a dynamic condition, click on the "Default" drop-down menu, and click on "Manage conditions".
Click on "Add condition".
The following modal will pop up. Click on "Yes, I'm done" if you have created and added all ad sizes you will need in this adset.
Give a name to your condition. We recommend adding a name that refers to the condition you are about to create. For example "Sale price" or "Last 10 in stock" so you can easily recognize what ad layouts you are working on or previewing.
Select an attribute from your feed. The attributes that you see in the dropdown menu refer to the attributes mapped earlier when you uploaded your feed in Bannerwise. Select, as well, the operation you want.
We will choose "sale_price" and "is less than" because we want to create a specific ad layout for products that are on sale.
💡 Good to know: Depending on the operation selected, you need to enter a value: number, word(s), letter(s)... or a specific attribute from the feed.
In this case, we're choosing the attribute from the feed "price" to fill in the second rule.
Each condition is normally set up for a specific set of products. What you want is to ensure products only fall under one unique condition and therefore, the conditions you set up and the rules you add need to be unique and exact counterparts of each other.
You can also click on the “+” icon to select “AND” or “OR” if you want to add another rule to your condition.
Check how many line items will be affected by the condition and "Add condition". If no matches are found, it indicates that none of the products in the feed satisfy the established condition. In such instances, please be aware that the ad editor will display no content.
