Switching feeds without having to duplicate your ad set helps you to always work with the correct product information. To ensure the ads show the content you want, is very important to correctly map the attributes of the new feed with the attributes of the old feed.

Pay attention to the following information when mapping attributes:

  • Attributes of the old feed mapped to an element type can only be mapped as that same element type. For example: "Text" element type attribute can only be replaced by another "text" element type attribute, attributes mapped as "Image" can only be replaced by another "Image" element type attribute and so on.

  • Attributes of the old feed that are not mapped to an element type, can be mapped as any element type in the attributes of the new feed.

  • Attributes of the old feed that exist in the new feed are mapped automatically.

  • Attributes of the old feed that don’t exist in the new have to be mapped.

For an easier mapping, take a look at the image below:

  • Attributes in RED 🔴 "Old Feed Attribute": They refer to the attributes of the old feed that were mapped when uploading the feed.

  • Attributes in GREEN 🟢 "New Feed Attribute": They refer to the attributes of the new feed. The dropdown menus show the options that are available for the specific element type that was selected when mapping the old feed.

And click on "Save" when you're finished. The product data of the new feed will automatically be displayed in your ad design.
