After uploading your dynamic feed in Bannerwise, you are asked to map the attributes of your feed to the corresponding elements you would like them to represent. If you haven't uploaded a dynamic feed yet, check this article.

  • From the dropdown menus under "Element" column, choose the element type each attribute will be associate with.

  • Each attribute in your feed has to be labeled as an "element type" or marked as “Do not import”

  • Each attribute can either be an image, text, logo, button, or a click area. You can only select one element type per reference so take your time when mapping your feed.

By doing this, you mark what kind of element the reference will turn into when you use it in Bannerwise. For example: when you map a reference as a "text element", you can only use Bannerwise text elements for this reference.

When mapping your feed, please keep these rules in mind:

  • Mapping your elements as an image means that it will display the source of the image set in your feed.

  • Mapping your elements as a text or button will display it as text.

  • Mapping an element incorrectly will require you to remap your feed.

  • Elements that are not used for a visual representation like ids or reporting labels do not need to be mapped.

Change the feed attribute mapping

If you have made a mistake naming your feeds or assigning feed attributes when you mapped your feed, it is possible to edit the feed. Below, you have the steps to edit the mapping of a feed:

  • From the hub click on "Configurations" and click on "Feeds".

  • From the feed overview, click on "Map" in the feed you want to remap.

  • Simply make the changes you need in your feed and click on "Save & Close" when you're finished.
