In Bannerwise, it is possible to preview ads in two different ways: from the ad editor and from the ads overview. This article will explain how you can preview your Slider ads both ways. Check how your ads look and make as many changes as necessary until satisfied with your ad design.
Preview from the Ad Editor:
From the ad editor, click on “Preview” on the toolbar.
You now see one of the ad sizes. The preview showcases the different products that are inside the slider element. This helps you know whether all product information is displayed correctly or not. To have a better feeling of how the ad behaves, you can interact with the "Next Slide Button", "Previous Slide Button" and "Slide Indicator" elements.
💡 Good to know:
When "Autoplay" is enabled for the slider element, slides will transition every 4 seconds if no interaction is done by users.
When users interact with the slider element, there is a pause of 10 seconds before the next product transition happens.
If the number of Slides selected is more than the total amount of products present in the feed, the slider will showcase the same products again.
At the bottom of the preview page, you can see a timer. This element is related to the (animated) elements outside the slider group. On the other hand, the transitions and user interactions with the slider element are independent, not following the timing marked by the timer.
If you want to preview specific products in your carouse ads, add filters to the preview page. This comes in handy when you want, for example, to check how the longest and shortest titles of the products display and make any adjustments if necessary.
To preview other ad sizes, you can click on the dropdown menu on top and select the size you want to preview next.
If conditions are created in the set, you can also preview them by selecting them in the dropdown menu shown below.
💡 Good to know:
When previewing a specific condition, only the first slide will display the layout associated with the chosen condition. The rest of the slides will not necessarily showcase specific conditions. What product and condition will showcase depends on the hierarchy/order set under "Manager Conditions".
When "Default" (in Single View) or "All Conditions" (in All View) are selected, the products showcasing are chosen randomly.
Preview from Ads overview:
If you want to preview your ads without going into the ad editor, you can click on “preview” in the ad overview:
Click on “Manage” in the hub and click on “Ads”.
Click on "Preview" under your ad set’s name.
You'll be sent to the preview page. From there, you can basically perform the same actions mentioned above.
