At this moment in-banner video display campaigns in Google Ad Manager are only supported by using 3rd-party tags. Fortunately, Bannerwise supports this option and provides you with the tags you need and hosts your ads on our own Bannerwise server.

The steps below will show you the process from generating the tags in Bannerwise and uploading them in your Google Ad Manager account. The use of 3rd-party tags is always enabled under request. Make sure you have access to this feature in your Bannerwise account before continuing reading.

  • In your Bannerwise account click on “Manage” and click on “Ads”.

  • Click on “Publish” on the ad set you want to publish.

  • Choose the network you need the tags for.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION❗❗

Each network has its own tag setup and macros therefore, you must choose the network the tags will be uploaded to to ensure they will be accepted. In this specific case, the network is Google Ad Manager, and click on "Continue".

  • Click on “Generate”.

  • Select the ad sizes you need and add a Landing Page URL. Once that's ready, click on "Get 3rd party tags".

After clicking on "Get 3rd party tags", our platform should start generating your third-party tags and drop them in your download folder once completed. You will get a .txt file with one tag per ad size you selected. Keep the file close by, you will need it to upload the tags in your Google Ad Manager account.

  • Log into Google Ad Manager and on the left menu, click on "Delivery".

  • Under "Deliver", click now on "Creatives".

  • Make sure you select the following settings: "Display creatives", "Standard" and "New creative".

  • Select and Advertiser and click on "Third party".

  • Add a name to your creative, select its size and add the correct 3rd-party tag in the box.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION❗❗

Please copy-paste the 3rd-party tag code snippet the way Bannerwise provides it, do not make any changes to it. Any changes could result in an error and the tag not being accepted by the network.

Fill in any other required information and click on "Save" at the bottom of the page. You will be redirected to a "Preview" page where you will see your ad playing.

That's it! You just uploaded your 3rd-party tag in Google Ad Manager!
