If you have uploaded dynamic ads to Studio and the dynamic elements don’t show, check the following troubleshooting steps and make sure everything is set up correctly.
1.Check “Profile ID” and “Content Source”.
The first thing you need to check are the feed settings in Bannerwise.
Click on “Configurations'' in the top right corner of the hub.
Click on “Dynamic”.
Click on "Edit" on the Studio feed you uploaded to build the ads.
Check that the “Content Source” and “Profile ID” in Bannerwise are exactly the same as the ones you can find in your Studio profile.
In Studio, find the correct information under “Dynamic Content” > “Generate Code” just like the image below shows:
The “Source feed” you add in Bannerwise should never contain “devDynamicContent.” part and no spaces are allowed between words. Simply type the content Source in as you see it in Studio.
Once you have verified those two fields, go back to Google Studio and preview your dynamic ads. Are your dynamic elements still not displaying? Then, continue reading.
2. Preview in Studio.
In Studio, under “Creatives” tab, click on “Preview”. Check the settings and make sure “Draft” is selected.
The dynamic elements should automatically display at this point. If they are still not showing, keep on reading.
3. Transformed content in Studio
Go to your Studio profile and under "Dynamic content" and "Manage data" click on the feed whose content has been transformed.
You can now see the list of attributes that were transformed from your feed under "Field". Do the dynamic references in your ads show in the list of fields in Studio? If they don’t it means that your feed contains attributes not supported by Google Studio. Check this Google resource to make sure your feed is set up correctly.
If the references show in the list and you still don’t see the dynamic elements, please continue reading.
4. Rules added in Studio
Go to the Dynamic Content profile and click on Step 3 "Manage Rules". Have you set up any rules? These might be affecting the preview.
Edit the rule and select "Open" under the field "Type" and "Optimised" for "Rotation". Save the changes and check the preview of your dynamic ads again.
5. Headers used in your product feed
It's very important that the headers added in your feed contain the right format to ensure the connection between Google Studio, data feed and the creative. If you already checked the troubleshoot steps above and everything is set up correctly, the issue might be in the feed.
You can check these feed examples from Google Studio. Ensure that the headers in your feed containing more than one word are connected with a "_" and that there are no spaces. For example, a correct header is "Image_url" and not "Image url".
Edit all the headers you need on your feed and upload it again in Bannerwise. Create your ads, publish and upload them in Studio. The Dynamic content should now be visible.
