Great that you want to build and create a Facebook DPA using Bannerwise. The first step is to upload a DPA feed (Dynamic Product Ad) in Bannerwise. In this section of the Beginner’s Guide, we will cover all basics of adding a DPA and the specifications it needs to comply with.

Before starting, make sure you have a Facebook business account and a Facebook pixel.

Check this article to know the specifications your feed URL must comply with depending on the Facebook Business Type you need. Once you have your feed ready, follow the steps below:

  • Click on "Configurations" and "Feeds" in the hub.

  • Click on "Add Feed".

  • From the dropdown menu, choose "Facebook" and click on "Continue".

  • In the following screen, fill in the required information:

    • Give a name to your Facebook DPA

    • Choose the Business Type of your DPA

      • Products

      • Hotels

      • Flights

      • Destinations

      • Automotive

      • Real estate

    • Choose a currency formatting

    • Add your feed source URL

    • If you want your Facebook DPA to be updated, set up a schedule by choosing a frequency, time, and timezone, or, disable it.

  • Click on "Add feed".

Now, you have to start mapping your feed in Bannerwise. If you want to learn how this is done, continue reading.

  • To start with, click on "Start mapping" on the following screen:

Mapping your feed in Bannerwise

Mapping your feed is the next step after adding or uploading your feed and is required to complete the add feed process.

To map your feed is to label each feed attribute (i.e. column name) as an element type. By doing this, you choose what kind of element the attribute will turn into when you use it in Bannerwise to build your ads. There are four elements you can choose from: logo, image, text, and button. If you select the option “Not import”, you will not be able to choose this reference while building your ads.

  • Simply select an element or "Do not import" for each attribute in your feed and click on "Save" when you're finished.

💡 Good to know: When mapping your feed, please keep these rules in mind:

  • Mapping your elements as an image means that it will display the source of the image set in your feed.

  • Mapping your elements as a text or button will display it as text.

  • Mapping an element incorrectly will require you to remap your feed.

  • Elements that are not used for a visual representation like ids or reporting labels do not need to be mapped.
